Format & Rules:

As always, community, comradery, and connection are our first priorities here at the Academy. All players will be expected to adhere to the 2021 ITC Code of Conduct, and to be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.

  • Matched play with 2,000 points and a three-detachment limit. Each army will start with twelve Command Points.
  • ​Army lists must be e-mailed to events@theadventurersacademy.com by Sunday, 1/16.
  • ​Forge World is allowed, but Legends are not.
  • ​Models should be WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get), so whatever weapon your model has is the weapon that it should use. Proxies must be pre-approved by the tournament organizer (TO) at events@theadventurersacademy.com.​
  • Any new codex released 1/8 or later and any FAQ published 1/15 or later will not be used.
  • ​Players should bring four copies of a printed army list, as well as a copy of the rules, codex(es), dice, and tape measure. Digital copies of the rules are permitted; however, your device should be fully charged and ready to be used all day. If your rules aren't accessible, our judges will make rulings at their own discretion.
  • Games will be played on 44"x60" boards. Rules will be from the Grand Tournament 2021 Mission Pack; we'll be using missions #12, #32, and #33 from the Strike Force section. Scoring will be by the standard ninth edition rules.
  • ​Total maximum score per mission will be 100 points. Final placing will be based upon win/loss record first, with battle points as the tie breaker.
  • ​Painted armies are not required, but ten bonus points per mission will be awarded to armies that are "Battle Ready." Armies that are partially painted will instead earn five points. For the purposes of this event, "Battle Ready" will be defined as follows: three color minimum with no bare primer showing (unless dry-brushed and shaded); and bases detailed, textured, or one solid color (flying bases and stems may be left clear).
  • ​The following dice are not allowed: Squig dice (GW), Lumineth dice (GW), Nurgle dice (GW), or any dice where it is difficult to differentiate between a six and a one.​
  • Total participation is limited to 28 players.

Prizing will be based upon attendance and will be awarded in the following categories:

  • Performance (First, Second, and Third Place) - Store Credit
  • Best General
  • Player's Choice (Best Army)
  • Losers' Raffle (One Raffle Entry for Each Game Lost)

Players must be present at the end of the tournament to claim their prize.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

DAMAGES & ISSUES
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we canevaluate the issue and make it right.


EXCEPTIONS & NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like used goods (such as pre-owned games or models), perishable goods (such as food), custom products (such as special orders), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


EXCHANGES
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


REFUNDS
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund, too.
