Join us for the sixth edition of the Academy's Commander League! In this six week league, you will utilize your MTG card knowledge to build two 100-card decks that follow the criteria set forth by the league guidelines. Sling spells to meet individual and group objectives that earn you points, and compete to be crowned the Academy commander champion!

Registration & Administration
To register for the league, please complete ALL of the following steps:
- Review all of the information in this listing.
- Purchase a ticket.
- Complete the registration form by Friday, January 26th.
We'll be using a dedicated Discord channel as the primary means of communication and organization for this event. If you haven't already, we strongly recommend that you join the Academy's Discord server.
Remember, this league will last six weeks and relies on the participation of all players. While we understand busy schedules and allow bye weeks for flexibility, it's also important that you're committed to participating.
Deckbuilding Guidelines
Decks must follow these rules:
- Build up to two 100-card decks.
- You may use any legal commander.
- All decklists must be submitted using Moxfield.
- All decks must be under a $150 budget using TCGPlayer prices. (You can set this on Moxfield!)
- You may only use mana rocks (artifacts) with mana value of two or more. This includes mana rocks that have mana creation, land fetch, cost reduction, and/or mana support. Here's the full list. (This means no Sol Ring!)
Format & Rules
Players will play two games at each week's league session. We will rank players based on the points they earn each game. While your placement each game earns you points, there are also goals you can achieve at an individual level and wildcard goals the table can achieve to earn points! Check out the achievement list, along with the appendix that serves as an FAQ and rules clarification.
- During the second game each week, we will utilize the Well of Destiny—a shared 100-card deck of instants, sorceries, artifacts, and enchantments that players may cast from on their turn. Based on variation of Commander called "Treasure Cruise," here are the full instructions and a decklist for the Well of Destiny.
- We'll follow the Commander Rules Committee's rules and banlist.

Meet the Organizers
Scott Kaliszak is a music teacher by day and a red-headed chaos incarnate by night, frequenting the store on Wednesdays for some spell slinging shenanigans. He enjoys the art of deckbuilding, and strives to play the worst cards in the best of ways at the bewilderment and amusement of the table.
Allen Lebeck is a nurse by night that participates in a variety of store events, avidly supporting the board game, Warhammer and MTG communities. His playstyle favors casual gaming, usually playing card combinations that drastically alter the board state and promote critical thinking and adaptive skills from opponents.
James "Captain" Kirk is recently installed as a judge for the Academy and, as father of two, looks forward to getting out of the house.
Prize Structure
To keep the league casual, prizes will be low in monetary value but high in fun!
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

DAMAGES & ISSUES
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we canevaluate the issue and make it right.
EXCEPTIONS & NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like used goods (such as pre-owned games or models), perishable goods (such as food), custom products (such as special orders), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
EXCHANGES
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
REFUNDS
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund, too.
