Calling all aspiring professors!

Interested in becoming an adjunct professor at the Academy? All of our game masters are volunteers who graciously share their time, talents, and love of tabletop gaming with our community. If you're interested in joining their ranks, please review these FAQs before submitting an applicaion.

We ask that all aspiring GMs play in a few games at the Academy before hosting any events.

If you're new to GMing, talk to us before submitting an application. We host workshops for new GMs and may even be able to arrange a low-stakes "test" session with some friendly players. GMing can be a tough job, and running a paid group puts unnecessary pressure on a new DM.

Unless you receive prior approval, your event must be for a game that we sell and support in the store. We love to hear about new games, though, so don't be afraid to chat with us about this one!

Yes, we view our GMs as partners in our role as community stewards. Thus, our application requires that you agree to the following:

At the Academy, our most important goal is creating a community where anyone feels welcome to sit down at the table and pick up the dice. This means that we are warm and welcoming to everyone who walks through the door. It means that we respect each other, regardless of experience level, race, gender/gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, or ability. As a GM, you'll be a leader of the community, so we ask that you are a champion of these ideals—in your actions, in the content of your games, and in guiding the behavior of the players of your table.
